About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property Management Accountant to support the financial operations of our residential portfolio. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager, strong analytical capabilities, and a solid understanding of residential property management accounting practices. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely processing of transactions, and supporting operational teams with financial insights.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for residential properties.
  • Analyze income statements, balance sheets, budget variances, and cash flow activity.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, security deposits, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Generate financial reports within Yardi Voyager and export/format as needed in Excel
  • .General Ledger & Month-End Close
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity for all assigned properties.
  • Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of residential property management accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with Yardi Voyager (required).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of property accounting principles, including CAM allocations, accruals, and GL coding.
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
